Name of Convention: Cupcake Wars

Purpose of Convention: To celebrate the wrap up of the final season of cupcake wars

 

Strategic Development

Our company is hosting this convention since there is a positive image and widespread communication about this particular food challenge. The GBBH is home to the only cupcake atm in Louisiana so we feel it will be quite an opportunity for us to partner with Cupcake Wars. The attendance for this convention is expected to approximate around 250 attendees. By hosting this convention, there will be a rise in bookings for our hotel. Guests are invited to bring a spouse.

 

Creative Development

The budget is $160,000 a day, per the request of the booking agent for Cupcake Wars. The profits are projected to reach $1 million. The events will be held in the convention center and meeting rooms at the GBBH. Guests are invited to stay at the GBBH, as well. The exposure for GBBH from partnering with this convention will be quite positive and result in press coverage and new clientele. The kitchen of the GBBH dining room will be the host arena for the final face off of the cupcake wars.

 

Event Development

The event coordinating staff of GBBH and TLC network agents will partner together to pull off this spectacular convention. When needed, the other areas of GBBH will be pulled and utilized for their expertise and help.

 

Communication Strategies

The guests of GBBH and viewers of Cupcake Wars will be the key participants this convention will be geared towards. The primary associates of the network and show will be the target area for this. This grand finale will be televised and promoted by TLC and their agents. Personalized invitations will be sent out to the individuals who are chosen to participate.

 

Event Execution

Our hotel will be dressed in it’s finest with full participation from all staff and executives to ensure the full cooperation and success. Customized banners, lighting, glitter dusting down , fireworks, fresh flowers, and sweet aromas. Separate staff meetings will be conducted in order to ensure every detail is taken care of and put into place.

 

Event Evaluation

This will be the first major, televised event for our hotel so there will be several learning opportunities for us. In order to track and document each area that can be learned from and fixed for future reference, there will be folders and spreadsheets put into place for us to use throughout the convention and when needed in the future.
